After graduating from school in 2007 and spending half a year abroad Karoline Henkel studied movie science, business studies and philosophy in Mainz for one year. Since February 2009 she worked as team assistant for Wiedemann & Berg Film in Munich until the beginning of her studies in International Producing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in the fall of 2010. From September to December 2012 she spent a semester abroad at 'La fémis' in Paris supported by a scolarship of the 'Baden-Württemberg Stiftung'. In August 2014 she was attending the 'Hollywood Workshop' at the UCLA in Los Angeles supported by a scolarship of the VGF. During her studies she produced several award winning short films and documentaries that were shown at national and international filmfestivals. She also produced the feature film TWO MOTHERS that premiered at the 63. Berlin International Film Festival Berlinale and won the award 'Dialogue en perspective'.
